ACRYLIC POURING AND MUCH MORE!

Well, it's finally happened! I have a new studio set up and I can offer you workshops in Acrylic Pouring! Yay!

I've always wanted to offer workshops where students could learn all about acrylic pouring but I couldn't find the right space to do it in. The big problem was what to do with the pours my students were creating in the workshop. It's just not possible to transport a wet pour. They need a few days to a full week to dry properly.

Now, with a lot of cleaning up and a little renovation, I have a studio workshop right here at home. Students can feel welcome in this large, bright open space and they don't have to worry about leaving their pours behind. They'll dry in their own good time, undisturbed.

Here are a few pics of the new space! Can you see yourself being part of an acrylic pouring workshop? I hope so!

WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES

Acrylic Pouring - The Basics Workshop

Overview:

In this acrylic pouring workshop, you’ll learn all the basics you need to know.

I’ve developed a process for the pours I create that’s given me great results. I’ll be sharing this process with you, step-by-step, so you can create great pours too!

We’ll be:

  • Creating two 8x8” pours (1 on canvas and 1 on wood panel)

  • Learning how to prepare our work surfaces

  • Mixing paint formulations for pouring

  • Learning about the weight of paints

  • Discussing what we need to have on hand for pouring

  • Discussing what paints to use

  • Learning a bit about colour theory

Make sure you wear clothing and shoes you can get paint on. Pouring can be a bit messy!

Also, you won’t be able to take your pours home on the day of the workshop. They need to dry. We can make arrangements for you to pick up your creations a few days later.

Colour Theory Workshop

Overview:

Leaning about colour is key for any artist. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn about and paint a colour wheel with primary, secondary and tertiary colours, along with scales for values, tints, tones and shades.

We'll also be discussing warm and cool colours along with the Zorn pallet.

These will become important references you can refer back to when you're creating your next masterpiece!
